[Denmark prohibits oil and gas heaters]
While most of the world is still complaining about high oil prices, almost completely unnoticed, the small country of Denmark has done something about it. As the Ecoquent Positions Blog reported, Denmark banned the installation of oil and gas heating systems in new buildings, effective from the beginning of this year. Three years later, in 2016, the installation will also be prohibited in old buildings. During the transitional period, Denmark is investing 42 million Danish crowns (~ € 5.6 million), to support the transition for existing buildings.
