[PV module price recovery not expected before second quarter of 2013]
Signs of recovery for PV module prices appear on the horizon, Californian PV analysts IHS iSuppli say, but not before the second quarter of 2013. The prognosis is based on shipment figures for the third quarter of this year. According to these dates, for the first time in 2012 revenues of the worldwide PV industry have fallen compared to the previous quarter – from US$ 7.14 billion in Q2 to US$ 6.63 billion in Q3, thus decreasing by 7%. iSuppli expects this downward trend to hold on in the fourth quarter, however the retreat will minimise, leading to worldwide revenues of US$ 6.62 billion. Return to growth is expected not before the second half of 2013.
